Crestone woman dies from carbon monoxide poisoning
Local resident, Marita Ming, 51, was found dead in her home
in the Baca on January 2, 2005. Her body was discovered by
friends concerned about her. Marita was last seen around Crestone
on December 26. She spoke with her family on Sunday, December
26. It is thought she passed away on Monday morning December
27. Autopsy results show carbon monoxide poisoning as the
cause of death. The case is currently under investigation
by the Saguache County Sheriff's office and the State Plumbing
Inspector, in order to ascertain exactly what caused the poisoning.
