Saturday night

We are sooo excited to have the Fabulous Thunderbirds at this year’s festival. This Grammy-nominated band has a distinctive and powerful blues/rock sound with Cajun and soul influences. This is exemplified in their three top 40 barnburner hits “Tuff Enuff”, “Wrap it up” and “Look at that”. The T-birds have commanded a tremendous amount of respect through the years with their peerless musicianship and devotion to the craft. Their live shows are renowned and often put bigger-billed names to shame. Muddy Waters called front man Kim Wilson, “his favorite harmonica player and vocalist”. “Muddy Waters almost adopted me, I’ll never forget him” Kim says. This band should be a total blast to experience, so don’t miss them Saturday, August 13!

Friday night

Friday night will feature the amazing T Sisters. This is a six-piece Americana band with drop dead harmonies and frisky instrumentation. Erika, Rachel and Chloe have been singing and writing music together since childhood, and their lifetime of practice shows. The three sisters’ inventive songwriting is supported by their own acoustic instrumentation as well as upright bass, mandolin/guitar and drums. They have been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion”. The T Sisters’ debut album, Kindred Lines, was produced by the Grammy-winning folk/bluegrass legend Laurie Lewis. Don’t miss these sweet singers.

Sunday night

We have a first time treat for the Sunday night headliner! We’ve never had a band from France, but now we will feature two bands from France named “Quel Bordel” and “BandapArt” who, together, are “BandaBordel.”  BandaBordel is an up-to-nine piece, male/female ensemble that plays a variety of instruments including: bass, violin, guitar, trap-set drums, mandolin, banjo, keyboards and cajon. They play original folk fusion in a funky French gypsy kind-of-way. Lively, loud and ferocious with fun, these folks sing bi-ligually and are danceable unilaterally.  The two bands have toured Europe and the US together the last 5 years and are a fantastic combination of unusual world music. They have headlined House of Blues Mainstage and shared the stage with Young Dubliners, whom we had last year. This will be a raucous good time and a fun way to end the fest.

We are currently booking our regional acts so stay tuned and check our web site at or call 719-256-4533 for more info.
