James “ Jaime” Stewart Apprehended

James “ Jaime” Stewart Apprehended

Within three days of escaping Mr. Stewart was apprehended and is now in Custody again.  On October 28, the Saguache County Sheriffs Office confirmed via Facebook the apprehension of Mr. Stewart.

 On 10/26/2019 at approximately 7:10 pm a male inmate managed to escape from the Saguache County Jail. His name is James “ Jaime” Stewart. He is 6 foot 1 inch and weighs 230 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.  Mr. Stewart was currently being jailed for violation of parole and has been known to have violent tendencies. If seen please do not try to apprehend and call 911 immediately. As of Sunday,

October 27 at 5:30 pm James “ Jaime” Stewart was still at large.

Do not pick up any hitchhikers that resembles him. Sheriff is advising that you keep your doors and windows locked.

Explosion and Fire Destroy a Block of Moffat

According to a statement from the Saguache County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO), a Colorado State Patrol dispatcher received a report at 4:19 Tuesday October 15 of a structure fire in Moffat. Fire spread quickly engulfing four buildings and setting fire to vehicles.The cause of the blaze which included an explosion that could be seen from Casita Park is still under investigation.. As I write this, the fire is still smoldering in places.

SAN LUIS VALLEY – The ongoing multi-state outbreak of sudden and severe lung illness related to vaping is one more reason for San Luis Valley public health agencies and healthcare partners to educate the public on the dangers of vaping.

As of Monday, August 26, there has been one confirmed case in Colorado that meets the definition being used nationally for investigation into the possible causes of this illness. Nationally, there have been over one hundred confirmed cases and at least one death.
