Monday, June 24: The Ox Cart Fire south of Poncha Pass on the west side of the Sangre de Cristos is currently very active spreading up South Rock Creek. It is putting up a lot of smoke. There are resources, including aviation, on the east side of the Sangre de Cristos watching for spot fires coming over the top. None confirmed at this moment reports Mike Blakeman, Public Affairs Specialist. Two other fires in Saguache County, the Sheep Fire and the Trickle Mountain Fire are now said to be 100% contained.
