A canoe on Willow Lake? Some climbers on an east-west trek celebrated a week of mountaineering by paddling around the high lake with its famous waterfall. When I suggested they deserved a prize for portaging the canoe 3,000 vertical feet, “To tell the truth,” one of them said, “we found it.” How it got there remains a mystery, but helicoptering comes to mind.  photo and caption by Larry Calloway.
