At their April 5 election, Town of Crestone residents approved having retail marijuana stores in the Town. The vote was 30 in favor and 13 opposed. The voters also reelected Mayor Karina Danforth, who ran unopposed. She received 39 votes. Two trustees out of a field of three were elected. The tally was James Adam Kinney (incumbent), 36 votes; Terry Goegren, 34 votes; and C. Kimberley S. Martinez failed to get elected with 14 votes.
